About Rosebud Coffee
Rosebud Coffee is Pasadena's only social enterprise cafe. We serve artisan and craft coffee while also training transitional aged youth as barista's. We have a large open space with indoor seating. We serve teas, lemonades, chai, and handmade chocolate. We also serve food such as pastries, paninis, breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Our coffee is third wave coffee that serves traditional sizes and features light to medium roast coffees. As a social enterprise, we are excited to work with local youth from around Pasadena and the LA area. We can also take out our coffee cart of events.
Located at 2302 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, Rosebud Coffee operates as a coffee shop serving Pasadena in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as cafe, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 amβ3:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Rosebud Coffee at (626) 486-2624; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, rosebudcoffee.com.

Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Iβve been a loyal customer of Rosebud Coffee for many years, and itβs still one of my favourite coffee shops in Pasadena. The back parking lot is such an underrated convenience, and the atmosphere is exactly why I keep coming back. The patrons are always polite and quiet, making it a wonderful place to read, work, or simply slow down for a while. The staff are consistently friendly and knowledgeable without ever being pretentious. Today I ordered the pomegranate black tea, and I was reminded of one of the little details I appreciate most: they actually take the time to brew it properly, so thereβs no tea bag left sitting in my bottle! Another thing I love is their sustainability effortβthey give you a $0.50 credit for bringing your own mug or bottle. I usually just add that credit back into the tip jar. Bring your own cup and help reduce waste. Small habits like that make a difference. Rosebud has been getting the little things right for years, and thatβs why I keep coming back.

This coffee shop has free parking at the back of the store. They share a space with Wild Parrot brewing company. The inside is very spacious and there were a lot of people working. My nieces ordered: peach lemonade and a Salted Rose Matcha and I ordered a hot rosebud chai with rose syrup. We also ordered a Melt on sourdough. Everything was really good! Thereβs outside seating as well so we opted to do that! Definitely worth coming back!

I'm on a mission to find the best cafe in 626 to have a working day, and this one I have mixed feelings about...The breakfast burrito is a great deal (only $8 and very tasty). But I truly don't appreciate that my HOT flat white was served in a GLASS cup...very odd. Is it too much to ask these days that a hot espresso drink be served in a nice large mug if I'm dining in? Overall, the indoor space is large and bright, with ample seating when I was there. There's also a convenient free parking lot in the back (although I did snag the last spot...). I was not a fan of the turkey sandwich, so I won't be ordering that one again. My biggest complaint is that there is NO menu displayed on the wall nor do they offer paper copies of the menu on the counter. All they have is their items listed on 3 sheets of laminated paper. So when I took the sheets back to my table (so that my group could decide what we wanted to order), an employee came up to our table and requested I return the sheets to the counter since another customer needed to see it in order to place her order. Really? You don't have more than 1 copy of the menu in the ENTIRE store? Very strange. Plus I sensed attitude, not only fro

Rosebud Coffee has a lot going for it. The decor is fantastic, with plenty of plants and cool merchandise. There are lots of tables to sit at, both inside and on the outside patio. A neat feature is the separate brewery inside, complete with an alcoholic bar. Plus, there's a huge parking lot behind the shop, which is super convenient. Most importantly, my latte with oat milk was delicious. However, there are a few things I disliked. Although they have WiFi, they turn it off on weekends to encourage conversation between guests. While I enjoyed my visit without my laptop, I would have liked the option to bring it on a weekend if I wanted to step out of the house. They also place little boards on specific tables indicating that they are laptop-free zones, which feels a bit intrusive. The staff at the counter was friendly and great, but the rest of the staff didn't seem to be taking their shifts seriously. You have to stand very close to the order area to hear your name called because most of the staff just call names casually, except for one gentleman who actually yelled out names. The rest were chatting amongst themselves, with nothing to do, which was a bit odd. I want to like th

I was in the Pasadena area and found this spot nearby. A solid spot to get a great cup of coffee. I ordered their latte with almond milk and it was delicious. Solid flavor and perfect temperature. This spot is a pretty big space for coffee. Iβd definitely come back here again and try their other menu items.
